One of the most important parts during your piercing procedure issterilization. It ensures your safety and your health. Observe if your piercer had sterilized your jewelry and tools in anautoclave or at the Statim. Tools must be individually packaged in pouches,unless they’re disposable. Never accept being pierced with jewelry that was immersed in “magical”liquids, like alcohol, chemical solutions or dry heat “sterilizers”. Spore tests are biological indicators to test the safety of theautoclaves. Our both autoclaves (Tuttnauer and Statim) are tested weekly.Besides, receive technical maintenance from 6 to 6 months. There is a very big difference in sterilizing and disinfecting.Sterilization is only achieved at high temperatures steam from distilled waterand pressure over an extended period of time. Sterilization kills all forms ofbacteria, disease, fungi, and viruses. Disinfection procedures only preventsthe transmission of germs only. Keep an eye on it and don’t let yourself being fooled.
